Jotunheim

Jotunheim is the home of the Frost Giant race. It is characterized by a cold climate and large mountains.

While the planet was once prosperous, the planet began to deteriorate when Odin stole the Casket of Ancient Winters.

History

In 965 A.D., Frost Giants invaded Tønsberg, Norway, in an attempt to cover Midgard in an ice age, beginning the Asgard-Jotunheim War. The war resulted in Odin stealing the Casket of Ancient Winters, a source of power for the Frost Giants. The realm later decayed.

In 2010, an attack occurred on the planet when Thor and the Warriors Three visited the planet. The attack resulted in Thor's banishment to Earth. Loki later attempted to destroy the planet by overloading the Bifrost Bridge; Loki's plans were thwarted by Thor.
