Earth, also known as Terra and Midgard by non-inhabitants, is the world in which most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe takes place. It was created by a seed containing Tiamut the Communicator by a Celestial. Earth's most notable areas include North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and Antarctica. The demonym of Earth by non-inhabitants is Terran.

Earth is orbited by the Moon and is part of the Nine Realms.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Earth is a mixture of mountainous, barren, forested, volcanic, snowy and tropical areas. Most of its cities lie in countries, and others on numerous islands. Much of Earth is lush with water resources, enabling the existence of vast rivers and seas.
