Avengers

The Avengers were a team of enhanced individuals. Founded by S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury, the group was formed by the Avengers Initiative as a result of the Chitauri invasion. The Avengers existed from 2012 until 2023, after the battle of Earth, and disbanded following the Avengers Civil War in 2016, but reunited to fight in the Infinity War. The Avengers were headquartered at the Avengers Tower in Manhattan until 2016, when the group relocated to the Avengers Compound in upstate New York.

• Captain America - A World War II veteran, Steve Rogers' life was permanently changed when he underwent an experiment to give him super strength using the Super Soldier Serum, turning him into Captain America. Captain America was among the founding members of the Avengers.
