Ebony Maw was a member of the Children of Thanos and a servant of Thanos. Adopted by Thanos as his son, Maw would accompany Thanos in his various massacres throughout the universe.
In 2018, Maw aided Thanos during the Infinity War; having assisted Thanos in the attack on the Statesman, Maw was tasked with retrieving the Time Stone from Doctor Strange in Greenwich Village. Maw successfully captured Strange, but was met by Spider-Man and Iron Man, who ejected Maw from his ship, killing him.
