The Zehoberei massacre was a massacre between Thanos, the Black Order, and the Chitauri, and the Zehoberei on Zen-Whoberi. It was at this battle that Thanos took in Gamora, a Zehoberei.
Background[edit | edit source]
Fearing an overpopulation crisis on Titan, Thanos proposed the idea of eliminating half of the population; Thanos was cast out of Titan for his suggestion. Thanos' prediction became reality when the planet became too overpopulated, and the Titan race died off.
Thanos predicted other planets would succumb to the same fate as Titan, and sought out to correct the universe by eliminating half of its population. In the thousands of years that followed, Thanos became a feared figure throughout the galaxy and had amassed a personal army comprised of Chitauri, Sakaarans, and Outriders. Thanos eventually found Zen-Whoberi, a planet on the brink of collapse.
The massacre[edit | edit source]

Thanos, with the Black Order and a delegation of Chitauri, invaded Zen-Whoberi and rounded up the Zehoberei on the planet. Thanos divided up half of the population and eliminated them.
Thanos eventually found Gamora, a Zehoberei, and spared her, giving her a switchblade.
Aftermath[edit | edit source]
In the aftermath of the massacre, all of the Zehoberei ended up dying, with the exception of Gamora. Gamora took resentment on Thanos and she became a Guardian of the Galaxy.
