Anton Vanko (Russian: Антон Ванко) was a Soviet-era scientist and engineer. Vanko is most notable for creating the Arc Reactor with Howard Stark. After creating the first designs for the Arc Reactor, Vanko sold them on the black market, resulting in Stark deporting him back to the Soviet Union, where he lived with his son Ivan until his death in 2009.
