Vibranium is an element on Earth. A rare metal, it is notable for being the rarest metal on Earth[1] and the strongest, while remaining lightweight.[2] Wakanda is the only known place that has vibranium depositories, and up until 2016, with the ascension of T'Challa as the King of Wakanda, vibranium's existence was known to a select few. It is nearly indestructible, and is resistant to vibrations.
Very few foreign objects have been made in part or in whole from vibranium, including Captain America's shield, the Toolbox, the Winter Soldier's prosthetic arm, and Vision. Within Wakanda, vibranium is used heavily, including to weave the Panther Habit.
