Mark XLII of Iron Man's armor, also known as the Autonomous Prehensile Propulsion Suit, was Tony Stark's 42nd Iron Man suit, following Mark XLI. Designed to be Stark's main armor, Mark XLII was never completed. Despite this, Stark used the suit extensively in Aldrich Killian's War.
Mark XLII was eventually destroyed by the Clean Slate Protocol. It was succeeded by Mark XLIII, Stark's first armor built following the Clean Slate Protocol.
