Jimmy Ryan[1] was an airman in the United States Air Force.
Ryan was part of Tony Stark's escort back to Bagram, Afghanistan in 2008 when Stark's convoy was attacked by the Ten Rings. Ryan was ultimately killed in the attack.

In February 2008,[2] Stark presented the Jericho missile system to the United States Armed Forces in Afghanistan. Ryan, Adam Pratt, and Pedro Ramirez were part of Stark's escort back to Bagram. Ryan posed for a picture with Stark during his return back.
The convoy was attacked by the Ten Rings in an attempt to kidnap Stark. Pratt told Ryan to stay with Stark in the Humvee[3] after Ramirez was killed. Ryan reloaded his M4 carbine and left the vehicle after Pratt was killed. Ryan was killed by a fragmented grenade that lightly injured Stark.
