The Ant-Man suit is a suit created by Hank Pym and used by Scott Lang. The suit is capable of using Pym Particles to shrink the wearer down or grow the wearer and communicate to ants.

History[edit | edit source]

Hank Pym developed Pym Particles in the 1970s as a method of shrinking and growing. Pym would later utilize Pym Particles in a suit, later dubbed the Ant-Man suit. The Ant-Man suit would also be equipped with an EMP Communication Device, allowing communication between the wearer and ants.

The Ant-Man suit would be used on various missions, including a mission in East Berlin involving radicals involved with Hydra. The suit would sustain heavy damage, although it couldn't reach subatomic sizes, a detail that would result in Janet van Dyne being stuck in the Quantum Realm trying to stop a Soviet missile. The incident caused Pym to give up the mantle of the Ant-Man.

In 2015, on a tip from Luis planted by Pym, Scott Lang would break into Pym's house and steal the suit. Pym would guide Lang towards using the suit.

The suit would be upgraded twice, once in 2016 to enhance its growth abilities, and a second time in 2018.
