Gorr's deicides is an unofficial name given to Gorr the God Butcher's vow to eliminate all of the gods.

Background[edit | edit source]

Gorr was a devout follower of Rapu, his planet's god. Gorr became disillusioned with Rapu when a drought and famine impacted the planet, although Rapu was left unharmed. Gorr's faith was tested when his daughter, Love, starved to death.

Killings and battles[edit | edit source]

Killing of Rapu[edit | edit source]

Gorr went to Rapu following his daughter's death and was met with arrogance, leading to Gorr denouncing Rapu. Rapu, in turn, choked Gorr. Suddenly, Gorr slayed Rapu using All-Black the Necrosword, the sword of Kaa, another individual displeased with the gods.

Killing of Indigarr's gods[edit | edit source]

Indigarr's gods were eventually slain by Gorr, leading to the planet being vulnerable.

Attack on Falligar the Behemoth[edit | edit source]

Among one of Gorr's next targets would be Falligar the Behemoth, considered to be one of the nicest gods and the god of the Falligarians.[1] Gorr would attack Falligar on Alfheim.

Thor, who had aided Indigarr's people during the battle of Indigarr, worked with the Guardians of the Galaxy and noticed a distress call from Sif, who was on Alfheim during the attack. Thor traveled to Alfheim with Korg.

Attack on New Asgard[edit | edit source]

After killing Falligar, Gorr traveled to New Asgard and sent shadow monsters to attack its people. New Asgard was successfully defended by Valkyrie, Thor, and Mighty Thor.
